Jessa and Bel venture into the mines, to see if they can locate the “rock creature” that scared the miners away. In the big chamber of the new section of the mine, Jessa taps out a pattern with a pick. We hear a rumbling noise, and a rock creature rises from the ground. It is benign. We attempt to communicate but do not have a common language. We eventually learn that Rocky wants help fighting a very aggressive “water creature” that is in an underground lake nearby; Rocky shapes a tunnel to the lake, the water elemental rises up and tries to slam us into the wall; it follows us down the tunnel to the main mine chamber and Rocky collapses the tunnel behind the creature. We are unable to defeat the water elemental, and Rocky is destroyed. The water creature seeps back into the lake.

There was an opening in the ceiling of the cave through which sunlight was shining; Elise knows where that upper entrance is, if we want another shot at killing the water elemental.
