Kayla enters the dream state to do recon on the rebel Yaunti complex. He discovers a Gruum with Yaunti features standing in a beneficial magic circle, two Yaunti Fangblades, and the escaped Sharpeye. Behind them is a living wall. The Sharpeye senses Kayla's presence, but cannot see her directly. The Gruum moves to the altar and begins encanting in Draconic. Kayla comes out of the dream state and senses that lightening is hitting the island. Kayla brings Shelby into the dream state to look at the area where the lightening strikes. Shelby notes that the composition of the rock conducts electrical energy to some other location in the complex. Darwynn uses her dungeoneering skill to create a lightening rod to re-route the energy from the lightening.

The party advances into the complex. As they move in, there is one lightening strike that causes the complex to shake, and rubble falls from the ceiling. Gunter kills the Gruum, Kayla kills both of the Fangblades, and Glowen killed the Sharpeye. The party moves forward into the complex to find a room containing the dragon, 5 bloodied gruum that are nearly transitioned into dragon creatures, thick panes of glass or ice that have swirling, tormented faces appearing occassionally and two electrically charged portals. Part of the ceiling has collapsed, killing one Yaunti encantor. There is also a swirling vortex of magical energy surrounding a statue in the middle of the room.
